Job summary

L3Harris is actively seeking a Sr. Specialist, Project Engineer to support the execution of complex hardware/software systems on airborne platforms and the Digital ICE product line.

You will ensure technical development meets cost and schedule requirements, while interfacing with customers and senior leadership throughout the program lifecycle. Responsibilities include planning and executing program activities, documenting plans, and maintaining lifecycle adherence with a focus on risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret (SCI) clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
• Demonstrated experience in program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Demonstrated experience in Aircraft Integration, Test and Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams in program execution and bid/proposal activities.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve design and integration challenges for system integration efforts.
• Provide technical leadership on the integration of specialized hardware and software for Electronic Attack Mission Systems and Digital ICs products.
• Provide leadership in program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Track Engineering Performance Metrics and brief program status on a monthly basis to senior engineering leadership.
• Track cost and schedule execution and explain variances and actions to return to targets.
• Ensure program execution and Bid/Proposal development align with engineering processes and policies.
• Ensure compliance with performance, reliability, and safety standards.
