Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Project Engineer in Waco, TX to lead complex hardware/software programs on airborne platforms and the Digital ICE product line.

The role requires coordinating engineering activities, managing risks, and interfacing with customers through all program phases. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent in lieu of degree, and an active DoD clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret (SCI).

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher with related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret (SCI) clearance.
• Experience in planning, guiding, and executing engineering projects within cost/schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional engineering teams in program execution.
• Provide technical leadership for system integration challenges.
• Drive program planning, guidance, and execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Track engineering performance metrics and brief status to leadership.
• Monitor cost and schedule, explain variances and recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with engineering processes, reliability, and safety standards.
