Job summary

Cordoba Corporation seeks an experienced Project Engineer in Inland Empire, CA, to support full life-cycle management of commercial and public/educational facility projects. You will assist the Project/Construction Manager across planning, design coordination, permitting, procurement, construction, and close-out.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction.
• Three (3) of those years should have full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values in excess of $20M (single project).
• Proficiency in use of Procore (or other PM software), Bluebeam, MS Office Suite.
• Experience and knowledgeable with DSA process during construction phase.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Project Manager or Construction Manager in overseeing project life cycle activities from planning through close-out.
• Assists in reviewing pre-construction documents and submitting comments to the Designer-of-Record as necessary.
• Assists in planning, organizing and preparing reports to upper management on project status and progress.
• Coordinates with public agencies during pre-construction and construction to comply with off-site work and owner/project staff.
• Helps manage project budget and schedule to meet owner standards and monitors monthly progress.
• Manages daily activities of designers/contractors, reviews schedules and RFIs, and coordinates responses.
• Assists in reviewing substitution submittals to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Negotiates Architect/Contractor changes to achieve fair pricing and tracks schedule impacts.
• Reviews progress and payments to contractors, architects, labs/inspection, and others.
• Administers Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the owner.
• Coordinates delivery of fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
• Monitors and manages project close-out and certification with DSAs for educational facilities or occupancy for commercial projects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
