Job summary

DPR Construction in the United States seeks a Construction Project Engineer to lead delivery of complex projects, applying technical expertise in project activities, methodologies, and leading practices.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, review drawings and submittals, monitor schedules and costs, identify risks, and support safer, quality-driven project execution while mentoring less experienced team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews moderately complex technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality benchmarks; maintain field presence to support safe execution.
• Coordinates with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve moderately complex technical challenges, ensuring uninterrupted crew productivity and project progress.
• Reviews and provides feedback on construction drawings, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and alignment with project goals.
• Supports the implementation of project controls, including schedule tracking and cost monitoring, to support timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Prepares and presents progress reports and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identifies and mitigates risks on projects through field analysis and engineering solutions.
• Supports less experienced project team members in resolving moderately complex project issues and provides technical expertise on safety and quality standards.
