Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer for the North Texas Division to contribute to cost/time estimating, submittals, RFIs, and subcontract coordination on commercial construction projects.

You will coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors, ensure schedules align with master plans, and support safety compliance and close-out activities. This on-site role requires US work authorization and a BS in a related field.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years’ construction industry experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training completed or within first year.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, and punch lists.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Notify subs about commencements; solicit deliveries; expedite to prevent delays.
• Contribute to detailed cost/time estimates; assist in owner change orders.
• Prepare submittal schedules and manage logs with architects, engineers, and superintendents.
• Prepare reports: materials, submittals, RFIs, drawings, and logs.
• Assist in subcontract preparation; resolve interpretation/execution issues; alert PM.
• Verify monthly subcontractor payments.
• Source material suppliers; verify invoices for quantity, price and quality.
• Respond to RFIs; route information to field team and subcontractors.
• Assist in close-out documents and warranties.
• Participate in jobsite safety per Safety & Health Manual.
• When not on project, assist Estimating with detailed cost estimates and value engineering.
