Sundt Enterprise is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to serve as the technical information source for project documents and procurement processes. The role involves coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, and may include supervising Field Engineers.

Qualifications

• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent training plus 3–4 years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology and relevant codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to supervise a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of the project management plan and change management processes.
• Develops a procurement schedule and integrates it with the project CPM schedule; coordinates submittals.
• Understands prime contract, subcontracts, PO agreements and budgeting; controls project costs.
• Maintains As-built contract documents and close-out requirements (manuals, warranties, job-specific items).
• Participates in takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utilities as required.
• Plans, develops and supervises project team members to ensure relentless execution.
• Prepares and maintains quantity reporting, agendas and meeting minutes; maintains project logs.
• Prepares and reviews change orders, manages time extensions and distributes documents to stakeholders.
• Prevents and mitigates potential claims and resolves any claims promptly.
