Sundt Construction is hiring a Senior Project Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. The role serves as the technical source of information for the project, overseeing construction documents, subcontracts, and change orders while coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The Senior step is for seasoned professionals with broader project experience. The position requires 4+ years in construction engineering and strong leadership, communication, and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards.
• Ability to supervise and train Field Engineer positions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of PMP components and change management.
• Develops procurement schedule linked to CPM schedule and coordinates submittals.
• Manages prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders; monitors budgeting and costs.
• Maintains as-built contract documents and close-out requirements.
• Participates in concrete form design and takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utilities.
• Plans, develops and supervises project team members for relentless execution.
• Prepares and reviews change orders and maintains logs and cost adjustments.
• Prevent claims by identifying, quantifying, and mitigating potential issues.
