Job summary

Modern Construction Services is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to support the delivery of commercial construction projects. On‑site with hybrid flexibility after onboarding, you will coordinate documentation, track submittals, and assist with contract administration.

You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, and Accounting to maintain accurate records in Procore. Growth into advanced coordination or project management roles is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale commercial projects.
• Proficiency with Procore.
• Experience managing submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Build and maintain the contract item list — all items requiring submittal for architect or engineer approval.
• Manage submittal logs, RFI logs, and change order logs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Issue subcontractor contracts using established templates at project kickoff.
• Support scheduling updates and coordination between field and office teams.
• Maintain accurate project records and workflows in Procore.
