Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a senior GEC discipline lead for the IH35 CapEx Central program in Austin, TX. You will act as SME to assist design consultants, coordinate with TxDOT and stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers.

You will produce engineering plans, calculations and technical reports to support project delivery. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience (PE preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience; or higher degrees with fewer years.
• Demonstrated senior-level engineering expertise on complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• PE certification is preferred and TxDOT design tools familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as GEC discipline lead and SME on CapEx projects.
• Oversee scope, budget, and schedule for complex engineering efforts.
• Coordinate design activities with TxDOT, city partners, and consultants.
• Mentor junior staff and review technical work for quality and accuracy.
• Produce design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans.
