Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Austin area, focusing on GEC County Road Bond Programs. You will oversee consultants, guide design and right-of-way coordination, and ensure projects meet budget and schedule targets.

The role demands strong client liaison skills and deep familiarity with Bond Program requirements. The role, based in Austin, requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, including task management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotation; assist in technical proposals and contracts per HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
• Serve as primary client liaison; manage project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and client satisfaction; assist with client scoping and contract negotiations.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
• Implement the firm’s project delivery plan using SDA; lead development and execution of the project management plan; mentor team to objectives.
• Coordinate staffing with managers, including recruitment, development, retention, and performance reviews.
• Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development and pursuit efforts; lead proposal development and presentations.
• May be responsible for recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of staff; planning for staff reporting and compensation reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
