Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead complex engineering projects in building envelope and facade systems. You will manage projects, perform analyses, develop technical solutions, and guide project teams across windows, storefronts, curtain walls, and other components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in building design and construction or related areas.
• PE license or EIT with plan to obtain PE licensure within 24 months of hire.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specs, codes, and standards.
• Proven project management skills and ability to lead project teams.
• Ability to work independently and travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for building product projects, including PM and team leadership.
• Research building codes, regulations, product standards, and construction practices as needed.
• Develop product test plans based on research findings.
• Communicate with clients on codes, tests, procedures, results, and audits.
• Analyze test results and assess product performance.
• Create reports substantiating conformance with codes and standards.
• Supervise and guide junior engineers and staff.
• Represent Intertek with industry associations and standards committees.
