Job summary

Intertek in Elmendorf, TX seeks a Senior Project Engineer to manage complex building envelope projects, including windows, curtain walls, doors and panels. You will perform engineering analysis, develop solutions and guide project teams while meeting client commitments, with travel up to 15%.

The role requires a civil/structural/mechanical engineering degree, PE or EIT with FE completed, and strong communication with clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical or similar).
5+ years of relevant engineering experience in building design, envelopes, or related fields.
Licensed PE or Engineer-in-Training with FE exam completed and PE licensure expected within 24 months.
Strong ability to interpret drawings, codes, standards, and technical documentation.
Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead building product projects and project teams including scheduling and deliverables.
Research and assess building codes, regulations and quality standards for materials and methods.
Develop product test plans based on research findings.
Communicate test procedures, results, and audits with clients.
Perform engineering analysis of test results and generate evaluation reports.
Supervise junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Represent Intertek in industry associations and standards committees.
