Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical or similar)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in building design and construction, building envelope systems, facade engineering, structural engineering, building products, or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); OR Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with FE completion and PE licensure within 24 months of hire
• Strong proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, building codes, standards, test methods, and technical documentation
• Experience performing engineering analysis and applying principles to building components and systems
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules and client commitments
• Remote applicants may be considered; must reside in the United States and be able to work legally

Responsibilities

• Lead building product projects, including project management and team leadership
• Research codes, regulations, product standards, and quality control methods for conformance
• Develop product test plans based on research findings
• Communicate with clients on codes, test prep, procedures, test results and audits
• Perform engineering analysis of test results to assess product performance
• Create reports substantiating conformance with codes and standards
• Provide supervision to lower-level engineers and staff
• Represent Intertek in industry associations and standards committees
