Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Lenexa, KS is hiring a Principal Project Engineer to lead design, qualification, and optimization of cell culture media manufacturing equipment and facilities. You will drive capital projects, process improvements, and cost-saving opportunities while coordinating with quality, EHS, and maintenance to ensure compliance and scalable production.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years of experience, and strong leadership, communication, and technical writing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering (or closely related field).
• Minimum 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, qualification, and optimization of cell culture media manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Manage capital projects and process improvements, including scope, timing, and budgets.
• Collaborate with process engineering, manufacturing, quality, EHS, and maintenance to ensure robust design and commissioning.
• Mentor engineers and cross-functional teams to foster safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
