Job summary

Molex is seeking a Project Engineer to lead automotive connector design initiatives from concept to production. You will drive product feasibility, cost targets, and manufacturability while mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative team environment.

You will capture customer needs, develop robust test plans, and oversee DFMEA/DOE analyses to ensure high-quality, reliable products for the Transportation Solutions Business Unit.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience in automotive with electrical connector expertise.
• Experience leading design and development from concept to production.
• Strong mentoring and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project scope, requirements, feasibility, and engineering work plans.
• Capture customer needs and translate them into product definitions.
• Lead technical discussions and build relationships around Molex capabilities.
• Oversee concept development ensuring manufacturability and cost targets.
• Define risk mitigation strategies and lead DFMEA/FEA and tolerance studies.
• Create models/drawings using GD&T and manage ECN processes.
• Develop test plans (DVP&R) and analyze results using statistics; perform DOE.
