Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Principal Project Engineer (Finance) to lead complex aerospace projects, using structured product development and matrix management. The role emphasizes independent leadership, risk reduction, and mentoring of engineering staff.

You will coordinate with Systems Engineers and SMEs to meet contract requirements while driving project milestones and continuous improvement. The position requires a BS in a technical field, 5+ years in electronics design/manufacturing,

Qualifications

• BS in a technical discipline (engineering, physical sciences, math)
• 5+ years in electronics design, development, or manufacturing of electronics systems
• PMP certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Excellent written and verbal communications, strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with MS Project or ability to develop proficiency within 6 months
• Experience presenting technical information to customers, senior staff, and SMEs
• Ability to obtain and maintain a company-sponsored security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Directly contribute to and drive completion of program milestones such as IBR, SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR, QRR and PRR
• Work with Systems Engineers to incorporate traceable hardware and software requirements and acceptance tests
• Lead risk reduction planning, maintain decision matrices, and secure project artifacts
• Lead meetings onsite, in-person, and remotely with video conferencing tools
• Travel infrequently to off-site domestic locations (0-10%).
