Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Engineering (HSE) is seeking an experienced Project Engineer who can work independently on developing project plans, schedules and budgets. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, track progress, resolve issues, and present status to management to ensure on-time delivery.

You will lead engineering change execution, perform risk assessments, and support EVMS activities while driving continuous improvement using CORE tools. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5 years of engineering experience or an Advanced degree with 3 years of engineering experience.
• Fluent English communication with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Develops project plans, schedules and budget.
• Tracks progress and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules.
• Prepare and present status to CIPT and upper Pratt & Whitney management.
• Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance.
• Work closely with IPT members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.
• Lead Class 1 and Class 2 engineering change execution.
• Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s).
• Supports military EVMS activities & project management activities.
• Attend group meetings, teleconferences and required training.
• Participate in continuous improvement using CORE tools and AS9100 efforts.
• Travel is up to 10%.
