Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Project Director/Senior Director for Project Farma to lead mega‑capital life sciences projects across multiple markets, including DC, MA, MD, NJ, PA, and VA. The role drives governance, client alignment, and cross-functional execution from concept through startup.

The position requires 13–20+ years in capital projects with 10+ years in large life sciences programs, GMP knowledge, and strong executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 13–20+ years of capital project experience with 10+ years leading large-scale life sciences projects (> $200M TIC).
• Expert knowledge of GMP-regulated capital delivery, operational readiness, and project governance.
• PMP, MSCM, MEM or related certifications strongly preferred.
• Executive presence with strong financial, commercial, and organizational leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel as required for client project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Leads the most complex, high-value capital projects and portfolios within the firm for Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing, typically exceeding $200M TIC.
• Senior Project Director acts as a senior advisor and owner’s representative from concept through startup and operations.
• Define project governance structures and act as the executive interface for client leadership. Provide strategic guidance on capital deployment, risk mitigation, and value delivery.
• Oversee project controls, vendor management, team leadership, and regulatory compliance. Mentor other Project Directors and senior personnel.
• Lead all phases of mega-projects (> $200M TIC) including FEL, design, procurement, construction, CQV, and operations integration.
