Job summary

Orion Marine Group in Federal Way, WA seeks a Project Director – Alternative Delivery to lead large-scale marine and heavy civil projects using DB, PDB, CMAR, and EPC methods.

Based in the Federal Way office, you will guide business development, preconstruction, design coordination, and client engagement, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

This role requires 15+ years of leadership experience in infrastructure and strong commercial acumen to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in major heavy civil, marine construction.
• Experience in a senior leadership capacity (Project Director, Senior PM, or similar).
• Proven experience leading projects using Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, EPC or similar.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work from Orion's Federal Way, WA office and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability for large-scale alternative delivery projects.
• Direct project execution to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Oversee design development, constructability, permitting, budget, and schedule alignment.
• Lead commercial negotiations, risk management, and project closeout activities.
• Build and mentor multidisciplinary project teams and maintain strong client relationships.
