Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Project Designer to design, engineer and document installed security and life safety solutions for projects of varying complexity. You will communicate with engineers, vendors and AHJs, ensuring designs meet requirements and schedules.

The role emphasizes drafting accuracy and documentation on AutoCAD and related tools. The position requires a college degree or equivalent experience, 3–5 years in engineering or project work, and a customer‑focused, proactive mindset

Responsibilities

• Provides design or drawing assistance for projects during the development and as-built stages of the engineered drawings.
• Works on projects with varying levels of complexity including moderately complex design projects.
• Obtains electronic plans from engineers/architects/owners and design drawings from contractors.
• Creates engineered drawings (AutoCAD, etc.) and prepares record drawings and O&M manuals.
