Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Designer to design, engineer and document security and life safety systems at varying complexity. You will communicate with AHJs, engineers and vendors while producing engineered drawings and O&M manuals.

The role offers growth within a collaborative culture and requires 3–5 years engineering experience with NICET III preferred, in a security or fire/life safety context.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in engineering, field service or project management.
• NICET III certification preferred.
• Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, or healthcare industries.

Responsibilities

• Provides design or drawing assistance for projects during development and as-built stages.
• Creates engineered drawings (AutoCAD, etc.).
• Prepares record drawings and O&M manuals according to project requirements.
• Reviews scope and electrical requirements for code compliance and AHJ.
• Participates in internal design review meetings and project turnover.
• Coordinates with project managers and vendors; procures materials.
