Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to lead project accounting, develop labor-based absorption rates, and support pricing, billing and margin analysis.

The role also encompasses financial reporting, general ledger activities, and month-end close, ensuring accurate records and insightful cost analyses across projects. Collaboration with operations is essential to drive improvements and maintain GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• ERP and data entry systems proficiency; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience in project, job, or service-based cost accounting; relevant industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update absorption rates for labor and materials to ensure full cost recovery.
• Perform project accounting including cost tracking and reporting.
• Analyze pay rate vs bill rate spreads and gross margin by project/division; prepare KPI reports.
• Reconcile timekeeping, payroll, and billing data.
• Collaborate with operations to review cost centers and allocations.
• Support monthly close for multiple entities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors and interact with banks/insurers as needed.
• Assist management with financial analysis and process improvements.
