Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions is seeking a Cost Specialist – Levels II, III & Senior to own budgets, forecast costs, and analyze variances for major energy projects across North America. You will work directly with Project Managers and Operations leaders to deliver actionable recovery plans.

Responsibilities include maintaining cost baselines, analyzing actuals, and preparing dashboards using JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, and Power BI. Travel up to 15% domestically is required.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in project cost controls or related field.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost-to-complete.
• Strong Excel and cost reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control project budgets and cost baselines.
• Track actual costs, commitments, forecasts, and cost trends.
• Perform EAC/ETC, variance, and cost-to-complete analysis.
• Identify cost risks and corrective actions.
• Support change orders, budget transfers, and cost impact analysis.
• Prepare clear cost reports, forecasts, dashboards, and project performance updates.
• Communicate cost performance to Project Managers and leadership.
• Apply EVM to evaluate cost and schedule performance.
