Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions is seeking a Project Cost Controls Specialist (Levels II, III & Senior) to own budgets and forecast costs across large energy infrastructure projects in North America. This on-site Columbus, OH role collaborates with Project Managers to keep cost performance aligned with execution plans.

You’ll develop budgets, track actuals, produce reports and dashboards, and apply EVM principles and cost-to-complete analyses to deliver actionable insights and recovery plans for

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in project cost controls or related field.
• Experience building, maintaining budgets and forecasting.
• Strong understanding of actuals vs. budget, forecasting, variance analysis, cost-to-complete.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control project budgets and cost baselines
• Track actual costs, commitments, forecasts, and cost trends
• Perform EAC/ETC, variance, and cost-to-complete analysis
• Identify cost risks, deviations, and corrective actions
• Support change orders, budget transfers, and cost impact analysis
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, dashboards, and project performance updates
• Communicate cost performance to Project Managers and leadership
• Apply EVM principles to evaluate cost and schedule performance
