Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Senior Cost Specialist to own budgets and baselines for major utility and energy projects across North America. You’ll forecast, analyze variances, and support cost-recovery plans while working with Project Managers and Operations leaders.

You will develop budgets, track actuals, and deliver cost reports and dashboards using JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, and Power BI. Travel up to 15% domestically is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management, business, finance, engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in project cost controls, cost management, or related field.
• Strong understanding of cost-to-complete, forecasting, and variance analysis with ability to communicate risks to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control project budgets and baselines.
• Track actual costs, forecasts, and cost trends to support decision-making.
• Prepare cost reports and dashboards for stakeholders and leadership.
• Support change orders and budget transfers, ensuring alignment with execution plans.
• Apply EAC/ETC analysis and cost-to-complete reviews to projects across North America.
