Quanta Government Solutions seeks a Project Cost Controls Specialist to own budgets and costs for major utility and energy projects across North America. You will manage budgets from planning through completion, track actuals and forecasts, and produce insights for recovery actions.

You will build budgets, monitor variances, perform cost-to-complete analysis, and collaborate with Project Managers and Operations to keep programs on plan.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in project cost controls and related fields.
• Experience developing, controlling, planning, and forecasting budgets.
• Strong understanding of actuals vs budget, forecasting, variance, and cost-to-complete.
• Ability to identify cost issues, analyze financials, and recommend actions.
• Experience communicating cost performance to Project Managers and leadership.
• EAC/ETC; change management; EVM experience preferred.
• Experience with JDE, EcoSys, Procore or similar tools.
• Travel up to 15% domestically.

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, and control project budgets and cost baselines.
• Track actual costs, commitments, forecasts, and cost trends.
• Perform EAC/ETC, variance and cost-to-complete analysis.
• Identify cost risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support change orders, budget transfers, and cost impact analysis.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, dashboards, and project performance updates.
• Communicate cost performance to Project Managers and leadership.
• Partner with teams to align financials with execution plans.
