Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Project Cost Controls Specialist to own budgets, track actuals, forecast final costs, and deliver actionable recovery plans for major energy projects in North America.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and Operations leaders to align financial performance with execution plans and use tools like JDE, EcoSys, Procore, and Excel.

Qualifications

• 2–8+ years in project cost controls or related field.
• Experience developing, controlling, planning, and forecasting budgets.
• Strong understanding of actuals vs. budget, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-to-complete.
• Ability to identify cost issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Experience communicating cost performance to leadership.
• EAC/ETC and change management experience; EVM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control project budgets and cost baselines.
• Track actual costs, commitments, forecasts, and cost trends.
• Perform EAC/ETC, variance, and cost-to-complete analysis.
• Identify cost risks and recommend corrective action.
• Support change orders, budget transfers, and cost impact analysis.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, dashboards, and performance updates.
• Communicate cost performance and recovery plans to leadership.
• Partner with project teams to align financial performance with execution plans.
• Apply EVM principles to evaluate cost and schedule performance.
• Use JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel; support cost-control processes.
