Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a cost analyst to build and maintain cost models, perform scenario analyses, and support monthly present estimate processes. You will monitor budgets, analyze schedule impacts on cost, and deliver clear presentations to stakeholders.

You will interface with project teams, drive data-driven cost controls, and contribute to risk registers and QRAs while leveraging Cognos, Power BI, Maximo, and Power Plan.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
• 5-10 years of direct cost analysis experience with Utility projects or large ($300M+) programs.
• Understanding of commercial agreements and contracting strategies.
• Understanding of project schedule impact on cost forecasting and integration of schedule in cost.
• Proficient with Cognos, Power BI, Maximo, Power Plan, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cost models and perform scenario analyses for monthly PE process.
• Analyze cost and schedule impacts of scope changes; present numerical analyses clearly.
• Monitor budgets and actuals; provide accurate cost reporting and trending analyses.
• Interface with internal and external project teams to support cost control and reporting.
• Identify gaps and opportunities; track monthly spend for earned value and forecast reliability.
• Perform forensic analysis on spend and forecasts to ensure budget adherence.
• Develop and maintain the Issue and Risk Register and Cost QRAs.
• Use Cognos, Power BI, Maximo, and Power Plan to produce analyses and data-driven presentations.
• Document processes and meet legal requirements (ROD, prudency, PSC filings, Change Orders).
• Demonstrate safety commitment through meetings, inspections, and field observations.
