Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a seasoned cost controls professional to lead project cost analysis for large infrastructure and utility programs. You’ll develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and estimate-at-completion projections, monitor expenditures, and prepare executive financial summaries to keep programs on track and within funding envelopes.

You’ll partner with project managers and leaders to interpret financial information, manage change, and push continuous improvement across cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field or 6 years of related work experience.
• 7–10 years in project cost analysis, cost controls, or capital project finance for utilities/infra.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, change management, and estimate-at-completion knowledge.
• Experience interpreting financial information and communicating cost performance to leadership.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and estimate-at-completion projections.
• Monitor expenditures and analyze budget performance against funding.
• Prepare routine cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and executive financial summaries.
• Support project managers with cost forecasting and contingency management.
• Evaluate trends, change orders, and cost impacts to identify risks and opportunities.
• Assist in preparation and review of budget revisions and funding requests.
• Support controls by integrating cost and schedule information for forecasting accuracy.
• Maintain cost documentation and governance compliance.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate cost performance and corrective actions.
• Promote continuous improvement of cost management processes and controls.
