Job summary

K&A Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Specialist III to join our Hartford, CT team. The role focuses on maintaining schedules, managing cost baselines, and advising across PM, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction groups.

Strong Excel skills and PMIS experience are essential to drive cost control and timely project delivery. You will work with a cross-functional team on transmission, distribution, and capital projects, enabling accurate forecasting, risk

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive-related electric utility or similar industry experience, with emphasis on transmission projects preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Experience collaborating across Project Management and Financial Management teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage project schedules from initiation through closeout for Transmission, Capital, Maintenance, and Distribution projects.
• Ensure cost control, baseline management, and schedule adherence across multiple work streams.
• Provide consulting and training in project cost control and forecasting to project managers and staff.
