Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect and analyze monthly data, and help implement financial controls and forecasting techniques.

The role requires strong collaboration with project teams and management to ensure on‑time delivery. You will monitor cost performance, prepare reports, and maintain risk reserves within forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs and updates requirements.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses observations with the project manager.
• Maintains integrated critical path schedules for major projects and programs in accordance with contract specifications.
• Monitors progress, risk, and forecasts to support on‑time delivery and project gross profit erosion analyses.
• Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and may supervise engineers.
