Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop complex cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances, and assist in root cause analysis.

The role ensures risk reserves are integrated into forecasts and reports to stakeholders, while supporting financial controls and forecasting techniques. The successful candidate will work with project teams, mentors, and management, following safety protocols and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with earned value management and large projects preferred.
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets and resource forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts.
• Maintains integrated critical path schedules for major projects.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports for project portfolios.
• Mentors junior staff and supports project teams.
• Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government regulations.
