Job summary

CDM Smith is excited to offer a Senior Project Controls Specialist role to support services projects across the United States. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, analyze monthly data, and ensure risk reserves are integrated into forecasts.

You will collaborate with project teams, prepare reports, provide guidance to junior staff, and ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal procedures. Domestic and international travel may be required up to 20-40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related experience; equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered.
• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and EcoSys for project controls and reporting.
• Strong communication and leadership for cross-functional teams and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated time‑phased schedules and cost baselines for major projects.
• Generate and analyze Earned Value Management reports and forecasts; advise on variances.
• Monitor progress, assess productivity, and update cost/schedule baselines.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff; supervise project team members as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and federal regulations; manage risk and change controls.
