Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across various locations. This role develops moderately to highly complex schedule and cost baselines, collects and analyzes monthly data, and ensures proper risk reserves are integrated into forecasts.

You will prepare earned value management reports, monitor cost performance, and communicate with project managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
• Demonstrates ability to plan and manage detailed execution of a construction project with WBS, schedules and resource plans.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management and project performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate costs and update requirements.
• Produce earned value reports and discuss observations with project managers.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise junior engineers on project work.
