CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across locations in the United States. You will develop and maintain complex schedule and cost baselines, gather monthly data, analyze variances, and assist in root-cause analysis while ensuring compliance with federal procedures.

You will collaborate with project teams and management to implement financial controls, forecasting techniques, and risk-informed reporting.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements and/or eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.
• In-depth knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
• Experience managing service projects is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Performs portfolio analysis and reviews findings with portfolio managers with respect to On Time Delivery, Risk Forecasts, and Project Gross Profit Erosion.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports for moderately complex to highly complex projects and discusses observations with the project manager.
• Documents and assesses the impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.
