Job summary

K&A Power Group is seeking a Project Controls Specialist- Level 3 for its Hartford, Connecticut operations. You will lead project controls across transmission and distribution projects, maintaining baselines, schedules, and cost control while partnering with PM and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven forecasting, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering executive-level reporting to support investment decisions and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive-related electric utility or related industry experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting capabilities.
• Experience with utility capital investment business models is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated financial management experience, including cash flow forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Project Schedules from initiation through closeout for Transmission/Capital/Distribution projects.
• Support multiple management organizations with resource-loaded schedules and reflective logic.
• Develop and manage project activities and resources to support project needs.
• Implements Baseline Management for cost and schedule to track variances.
• Coordinate and communicate project status and resource loading with teams and management.
