K&A Power Group in Hartford, Connecticut is seeking a Project Manager Level 2 to lead engineering projects in the energy and utility sectors. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and teams across overhead, substation, and underground work. Travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred
• PMP certification preferred
• 10–15 years’ experience including 3+ years managing major engineering/procurement/construction activities
• Strong Safety-First Focus
• Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
• Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with competing priorities and stressful situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Must be able to travel to office for meetings

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of the project with knowledge & experience in all segments (overhead, substation, and underground), including schedule and budget management.
• Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects — defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline, and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing the risks, scope, schedule, and budget
• Managing Teams — facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams
• Oversee the Engineering team and provide support to field & design.
• Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Processes and Procedures on all projects
