Job summary

United Utility Services, a leading power delivery specialist, seeks a Project Controls Analyst to join the PMO. You will provide cost controls, data capture, analytics, and process improvements across projects in Hartford, CT, with exposure to executive reporting.

The role requires 5–10 years' project controls experience in utilities, strong Excel and Primavera P6 skills, and the ability to collaborate with finance, construction, and project management teams. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, business administration, engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5-10 years of experience with project cost controls, preferably in electric utilities.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel and Smartsheet is expected.
• Strong analytical, data collection and reporting skills to support forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with PMO, Finance, Accounting and project teams; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers to perform cost and schedule analysis and develop monthly reports.
• Develop risk registers, Earned Value management tools, and cost tracking per project.
• Monitor costs and man-hours weekly; ensure correct coding and budgeting.
• Support change orders and close processes with finance and project teams.
• Identify risks and opportunities; prepare variance analyses and reporting.
• Support process improvements in financial systems and dashboards.
