Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Program Controls Specialist in Dallas, TX to lead project controls activities and manage daily controls tasks. You will support the program controls plan and mentor stakeholders in controls processes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management with at least 3 years of project controls experience. Oracle Primavera P6 experience is preferred; OSHA 10 training may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, construction management, or related field and 3 years of direct project controls experience.
• Experience with substituting education for degree is acceptable.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project controls efforts and manage daily controls tasks.
• Support and may conduct training, mentoring and support for stakeholders in controls processes.
• Develop and execute project controls quality and consistency plans and report to management.
• Support planning & controls data warehouse and client-facing reports.
• Support scheduling, cost management, forecasting, document control and reporting.
• Perform field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes.
• Monitor progress, risks and cash flow and present to stakeholders.
• Create WBS, develop schedules, and perform what-if scenario analysis.
