Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Phoenix seeks a Senior Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls, develop schedules and cost forecasts, and interact with the project team and client. You will validate WBS, manage reporting data warehouse, and provide leadership in risk management and contract administration.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 7 years of project controls experience, proficiency with Primavera P6, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field with 7 years of direct project controls experience.
• Experience with critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating and document control.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred; ability to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls processes and consult with the project management team to ensure client satisfaction.
• Present schedule and budget status reports to project management team and client.
• Validate proper set-up and management of planning and controls software; develop and maintain reporting data warehouse.
• Develop scheduling, cost, cash flow reports and forecasts for multiple projects; provide leadership and training to team.
• Interface with project team, accounting, and external audits; manage risk and change orders.
• Lead IPPM meetings and presentation of Project Controls reporting; ensure earned value reporting accuracy.
