Job summary

FlatironDragados in Los Angeles is seeking a Project Controls Manager to oversee prime contract management, scheduling, cost control and contract change management for a District or Mega Project.

You will lead and collaborate with experts and teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness, applying your 7+ years of construction project controls experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction engineering, project management or project controls.
• Experience with complex scheduling and cost control processes.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and change order processes.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes contract management records to provide technical advice and project control guidance.
• Oversees cost controls reporting and reconciliation for one District or Mega Project, reporting to the Project Controls Director.
• Manages the scheduling process and support for District or Mega Projects, including bid phase, project schedule creation, monthly reporting, and schedule updates.
• Supports integration of company systems to track, monitor, and control costs or schedules, and training on approved systems.
• Monitors KPIs and conducts regular project reviews against job cost reports.
• Coordinates with the Division Claims/Contract Manager on change order and claims processing.
• Manages tracking of unsecured revenue and project contingencies.
• Monitors and controls project cash flow by tracking over/under billing.
• Assists with resource and cost loading to the schedule and final revenue validation at closeout.
