Job summary

FlatironDragados group is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to support our district project controls program, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence. You will handle contract management, scheduling, cost control and change management across multiple projects.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years in construction engineering or project controls, with strong communication and cost-analysis skills. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years' experience in construction engineering, project management or project controls.
• Experience with complex scheduling and cost control processes.
• Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change orders.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting.
• Ability to identify cost reduction strategies aligned with budget and design.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes contract management records to provide technical advice and project control guidance.
• Assists with cost controls reporting and reconciliation for one District or Mega Project.
• Supports scheduling for District or Mega Projects, including bid phase, schedule creation and monthly reporting.
• Aids in integrating company systems to track and control costs or schedules and ensure proper training.
• Conducts regular project reviews and monitors job cost reports against KPIs.
• Coordinates with the Division Claims/Contract Manager to track change orders and claims.
• Tracks activities related to unsecured revenue and project contingencies.
• Monitors cash flow by tracking over/under billing.
• Assists with resource and cost loading to the schedule, including labor and material projections.
