Lead Project Manager, Renewables (Solar/BESS, Independent Engineer)

Location: USA only - Remote or Hybrid

Our work focuses on enabling development and investment in energy infrastructure. As a Lead Project Manager, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, engage with clients, and expand our engineering and advisory services. Join a team of industry experts to deliver technical diligence and solutions for energy projects, working across technologies and engaging with stakeholders.

Technical Advisory offers services supporting strategic investments, portfolio management, operational planning, market analysis, policy, regulation, and customer engagement. We collaborate across divisions like Power and Gas Market, Environment and Planning, and Transportation and Sustainability. As a Lead Project Manager, you will bring experience from power markets, with a strong track record in technical consulting or utility industry results, engaging with senior client decision-makers. This is an individual contributor role, with no direct reports.

What You Will Do

• Conduct technical due diligence, support construction and project completion monitoring on energy assets.
• Manage project and client relationships.
• Provide technical input to multi-disciplinary teams.
• Work within a collaborative team environment.
• Complete projects within time and budget.
• Ensure client satisfaction and develop long-term relationships.
• Support business development, including proposals and client opportunities.
• Stay updated on market activities and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical).
• 8+ years of energy industry/consulting experience.
• 8+ years of site-based experience on utility-scale projects (solar, BESS, biofuels, renewables).
• Experience as a senior project manager overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
• Independent Engineering/Owner's Engineering experience.
• Travel up to 20% for onsite visits.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• 10-15+ years of related experience.
• Deep understanding of project contracts (interconnection, off-take, supply, O&M).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
