Buro Happold is seeking a commercially minded Senior Project Controls Manager for our US Project Operations team. This role can be remote in the United States with hybrid flexibility, preferably near EST offices.

You will drive financial performance, forecasting accuracy, and governance by leveraging Deltek Vantagepoint, Excel, and Power BI, guiding project leaders and cross-functional teams toward data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 8+ years in project controls, project finance, or similar.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, or professional services environment.
• Deep knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint and related finance workflows.
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and risk management skills.
• Advanced Excel; Power BI or similar BI tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review project financial performance with leadership and identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead and support project and portfolio reviews covering profitability and forecasting.
• Analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend actions.
• Serve as subject matter expert for Deltek Vantagepoint: setup, planning, billing, reporting.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Deltek Vantagepoint, Excel, and Power BI.
• Coach teams on forecasting, financial planning, invoicing, and risk management.
