Job summary

Fluor is seeking a Project Control Leader to supervise project controls on a range of government contracts. You will serve as Control Team Leader on small projects or SME for the regional office, guiding a team and coordinating schedules and costs with the client.

The role requires a four-year degree and about ten years of related experience (or fourteen if non-degreed), U.S. citizenship, and readiness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree in applicable field and ten years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Develop Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work defined by the contract
• Develop totally integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) schedules or cost control programs
• Recommend solutions or recovery plans to schedule or cost impact or delays
• Lead Scheduler analyze schedule, review delays, propose schedule recovery alternatives and presents them to internal groups as well as the client
• Lead Cost Specialist maintain the cost system and provide required reports
• Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
• Other duties as assigned
