Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, run analyses, and deliver risk-adjusted forecasts.

The role partners with project teams and management to maintain strong financial controls and reporting. Responsibilities include preparing earned value analyses, monitoring resource needs, and guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and finance.
• Experience with schedule and cost baselines and variance analysis.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and EcoSys for planning and reporting.
• Ability to interpret project contracts, datasheets and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop time-phased cost and resource forecasts and validate costs.
• Prepare earned value reports and major project status updates.
• Monitor schedule progress and forecast variances with PMs.
• Provide guidance on risk, change impact, and budgeting controls.
