Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. The role develops moderately to highly complex schedule and cost baselines, analyzes monthly data, and ensures risk reserves are integrated into forecasts for client projects.

You will work with cross-functional teams, prepare standard reports, and ensure adherence to safety and internal procedures. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies.
• Understanding of project finance, accounting, or business administration.
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, and technical specs to manage schedules and costs.

Responsibilities

• Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate costs and update requirements.
• Prepare earned value and performance reports for portfolios of projects.
• Monitor progress, analyze variances, and communicate cost status to stakeholders.
