Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the United States. The role develops complex schedule and cost baselines, analyzes monthly data, and maintains risk reserves within forecasts.

You’ll produce standardized reports for stakeholders and help implement cost controls and forecasting techniques. Key duties include Earned Value Management, resource planning, and performance reporting for portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 5+ years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts and validates costs.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses findings with the project manager.
• Maintains internal procedures and ensures compliance with federal/government regulations.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to junior staff and may supervise engineers.
