Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a senior Cost Engineer/Estimator to lead cost engineering, estimating, and planning for major projects in the USA. The role requires directing a team, ensuring cost accuracy, and delivering reliable forecasts across multi-disciplinary teams.

The position emphasizes strong communication, risk management, and the ability to interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s or master’s degree (or international equivalent) and 13–15 years of relevant experience or 17–19 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong cost engineering, estimating, control and planning skills are essential.
• Experience leading project controls activities and interfacing with multiple disciplines is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages cost engineering, estimating, analysis/control and planning/scheduling for projects or staffing activities.
• Develops project estimates and cost forecasts for proposals and programs.
• Reviews data and reports to support project financial management and risk decisions.
• Provides guidance in cost engineering and scheduling practices and metrics.
• Collaborates to integrate risk management with change, forecasting and cost processes.
