Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Houston, TX, is seeking a seasoned Project Controls leader for an API manufacturing facility project. You will coordinate cost engineering, scheduling, forecasting, risk management, and reporting to enable informed decision-making and successful project execution.

The role interfaces with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, and client teams. You will lead a skilled team, drive performance metrics, and ensure accurate forecasts and change management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary Project Controls teams on large EPC projects.
• Experience with cost engineering, scheduling, forecasting, risk management, and integrated controls processes.
• Strong understanding of EPC workflows and project reporting.

Responsibilities

• Leads field Project Controls activities: cost control, forecasting, planning & scheduling, risk management, reporting.
• Directs development and maintenance of budgets, forecasts, schedules, trends, risks, KPIs.
• Oversees staffing, training, performance management, and capability development.
• Ensures integration of cost, schedule, risk, change management, forecasting, and claims processes.
• Partners with project leadership to identify issues and drive corrective actions.
• Leads project performance reviews and forecasts for senior management.
• Oversees progress measurement systems and reporting tools.
• Supports risk mitigation and change evaluation in forecasts and schedules.
• Reviews cost reports, schedules, forecasts, and financial status reports for accuracy.
• Acts as primary Project Controls interface with customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Mentors Project Risk Coordinators/Specialists in risk management processes.
